ive got the hb and ct forms come through but im now wondering if its worth me claiming?
im doing well at wrk that i now do 4 day/ 28 hours a week (so still part time) this is from next week so need t ring tax credits again as they have me down for 20 hours a week
i also get dla for 2 of my boys and im sure this is classed as income which is now making me think that i wont get hb and ct as they will take into account all the dla and therefor award nothing iykwim
my ctc and working tax includes the money for childcare and for that i get 531 odd a week
can anyone shed any light into what they acoount for when i send the froms back

I don't know what you'd be entitled to if anything but have a saying I use, if the worst they can say is no, it's worth asking
Have you tried using one of the calculators?
Great to hear things are going well for you xOne day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Im sure DLA is not means tested so your income is separate to that because they get it for their disability not on an income basis.0

I would say "apply, apply, apply". Remember that being on Housing Benefit/CT Benefit will also make you automatically eligible for other things! For example, if your pet gets ill the PDSA maybe able to provide you with free treatment if you can't afford it:
http://www.pdsa.org.uk/petaidpractice_2.html
This is just one small example. You may also get free insulation for your house, free school meals for your children and clothing grants for your children.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0
