Egg Help?

Hi,

I have e-mailed egg about this but I thought I may get a quicker response here.

I have just opened a savings account and wish to pay some money in. The problem is that I dont have a cheque book so I cant do that and I only have a VISA electron which egg do not accept :(.

I dont know how else to pay in money, can anyone help?

You can pay in by debit card, BACS, CHAPS or direct debit.

  • Thanks for that, i guess i am going to have to use BACS/Standing order.

How do I go about doing this, not really clued up about banks since only 17, but I can learn! I have all the info from egg: sort code and account number.

    Thanks!

To do a BACS or standing order you just quote your 8 digit Egg savings account number and their sort code - which is '40-61-99'.

  • Ok, so I just go into the bank and ask them to transfer some money with those details? As simple as that huh?

BTW, in a current account at the moment so that shouldnt be a problem.
