Hi
There is a sreen scrapper for travel on this site and there are many saving rate comparsion sites so I wonder if this idea is possible - or maybe it already exists
I would like to collect the up to date rates for the specific accounts and Societies that I'm intrested in, e.g. instant saver at Abbey, 60+ at Nationwide
The "power portfolio" at "thisismoney.co.uk" website allows this to done for shares
Be pleased to hear of anything that might help

Do you mean that you want to be able to see, at a glance, the current rates on each account type that you have?
That would indeed be very useful, but it's actually technically very difficult, not least because (for most banks) the rates offered on withdrawn issues of current products are harder to find than the rates on their shiny new products.
The best bank for this (IMHO) is A&L, because as long as you know your account number, you can instantly access the current rates simply by keying in the 3 digit "account type" prefix into a search engine on their site. If all banks did this, it would be relatively easy for a clever technical type to code the sort of thing you are looking for.
Unfortunately, though, many banks/building societies hide past product rates so effectively that it would be hard/impossible to code an automated search.0 -
Yes your first line summarise my wish precisely
