Help needed please.
The Cheshire has a good rate of 6.8% fixed for a year. As it is to be taken over by The Nationwide in the new year, will Nationwide be under any obligation to keep the same rate?

Of course they would - all fixed rate contracts are honoured in such circumstances, variable rate accounts can be adjusted into line as required.
That said, the rate will probably be pulled in a few days so if you are interested get in quick......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
Hi. I opened one of these yesterday as I like to keep a mixture of fixed and variable rate accounts. I was told that next Monday the rate will be dropped to 6.0%, so you have just today and tomorrow if you want to fix at 6.8%.0
