Hi
I have some ready on Turbolister for tonight, I think about 8, am not feeling very well at the moment (been feeling sick for a week now and have had the odd bought of the runs (sorry TMI!). Been to doctors and got tablets to stop me feeling sick and a pot to take to the hospital (nuff said).
I have so much I want to get done, I am just washing my dress I bought for my brothers wedding (was £45) so am hoping to get that listed tomorrow, have a white jacket that I bought from Next for the Wedding (was £59 got it in the sale for £25) so need to get that dry cleaned and flog that too this week. I have a couple of Next coats (kids) one of which is waiting on Turbolister to list tonight, ones the same have been selling for about £12-£17 so am hoping I get a good price for them. I have a bag full of stuff to take pictures of later so that lot will go on Turbolister later ready for tomorrow.
Why do I always have to be ill when it's free listing, I could get so much more done. Anyway, off to do dinner now so I can take my tablet after I've eaten a bit, then when the kids are in bed I shall be back to update on how many I've listed today.

Thanks mrscmr - well done you on the domestic chores, our house is a pigsty but just can't get the energy to do much, have washed up and am doing dinner.
The evening is just beginning so I'm sure we can all get some more things listed tonight.

I've not had any luck selling books on Ebay apart from Weight Watchers books so maybe someone else can help on this. I can highly recommend Amazon, Play and Green Met though
I'm also feeling ill, got a bad migraine, but I am going to try and do some tonight. I have some items finishing tonight tooNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
oh jesarose... sorry to hear that... i am a professional migraine sufferer... indeed if there was an olympic event i would hold gold medals. i recommend imigran or i believe migraleve has brought out their own equivalent. it does the job and believe me i tried them all. x to u

A fellow migraine sufferer here, I have the Imigram injections now as the tablets never worked for me.
As for books, look at the completed lists on ebay to see what sells. The problem is though with 'popular' books is that the cheap chart books in supermarkets make them uneconomical to sell online once you factor in £1.85 postage. You sell one for say 99p plus £1.85 on ebay and get maybe as little as 40p profit yet the buyer has paid £2.84 where they could pick it up brand new at the Supermarket for £3.50 sometimes.
Look at the slightly odder stuff though, books that aren't in the top 20, childrens books and maybe small job lots. I sold off a huge batch of Mills and Boons, barely made more than a few pounds in total but by keeping the batches at less than 500g wrapped I could offer them at say £2 2nd class postage and go for a £1.50 or even 99p start. Mills and boon are so light you can get 5 or 6 in a batch at less than 500g.
Also look for cult stuff, the new True blood books for instance are rarely discounted on the high street so if you have any of them bung them up.
You might also want to look at Greenmetropolis which is a lovely friendly site to sell, barely any turnover but I go there sometimes just to chat about books.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for that advice about books, never can work out though for amazon if you can acutally make a profit pout of selling on there, after they take off their cut0

I do very well on Amazon, but there again I don't bother with 'popular' books I go for the rarer out of print or just plain odd items.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
