Car insurance scam - made up witness !!!

My wife had an accident a few months ago, where a car pulled out when parked and my wife hit the side of her car. At the time, they exchanged details etc but no-one else came from a nearby bus-stop.Anyway, they disputed our claims, saying they never pulled out etc and were stationary. The same happened to my OH, a car pulled our of a side road without looking and knocked him off his motobike.

The car driver produced a witness some weeks after, who just happened to be his neighbour.

There were no witnesses at the time, the police confirmed that, the best my OH got was an 80/20 fault settlement, in favour of the other driver.
