I want to start buying/selling shares for myself, using an online service.
I randomly found this one: http://www.digitallook.com/
What I think it would give me:
- ability to "play for free" to learn
- fixed or low fee to trade
- easy interface
- possibly being able to put a "stop" (I think it's called) on each price
Please can you point out:
1) any errors/omissions in the above
2) any better services
3) anything else to be aware of/a 'must have' feature
4) anything more you feel is relevant
My plan is to invest a small amount of "fun money", say £1000-2000 in shares and to dabble about buying/selling them at random moments in my life. While the intention is for them to at least hold their value, I accept that if I am a fool I will incur losses. I don't expect to turn my £1000 into £10k overnight, but if I reach October 2009 and it's worth £1010 I'd call that a winner
So, obviously a complete and clueless n00b, but I'd really like to do this and I've wanted to for about 5 years and really never got round to it before.
Thanking you in anticipation.
