Sealing a Problem Shower Tray

When shower trays start to leak, they are always a nightmare. The reason being it may not be the shower tray that's leaking, it could be a whole host of other things, this list is not exhaustive:
1/ The plumbing could be leaking (you already stated u checked this)
2/ A crack in the shower tray, it only needs to be hairline to cause problems.
3/ Sealent between tray and tiles (or any other sealent).
4/ Shower door, it may have been fitted incorrectly or become damaged causing water to run through to the floor.
5/ The walls - This is quite common in 'newer' houses (ie ones built in the last 20 years), the builders not being plumbers who just threw in a standard white unit. No knowing anything about plumbing would tile straight onto plasterboard. This is not waterproof and eventually water will begin to get in between the tiles and the wall.
A plumber could come out and take a look at this, and he probably wouldn't be able to tell u which one is the problem without taking the unit to bits.
I wish you the best of luck0 -
