Thought I'd Make a seperate thread for this for all concerned customers.

I work for ING direct but cannot confirm my name due to company policy.

Ing direct has now taken over the savings customers from these 2 banks, Transfers will start being processed tomorrow (friday)

You WILL continue to recieve interest on your savings untill the transfer is made.

Your funds are safe with ING direct and we are working as hard as we possibly can to ensure we get this sorted asap!

If you have any questions and cant get through to Kaupthing or Heritable please do not worry you WILL get your money.

Hello Valley Commando, Firstly many thanks for the sterling efforts you are making as an employee of ING Direct to reassure all us anxious savers with "money in transit". Greatly appreciated. In view of the number of effected people out here do you thing you could ask Management at ING Direct to post something "official" on the Kaupthing Edge website explaining the situation. Such a move would be highly visible and very much welcome.It will do a lot to steady many nerves and I am sure cause some to consider leaving/transferring savings into the hands of ING Direct. It will certainly enhance your organisation's goodwill.Thanks in anticipation of your assistance.
