The THANK Martin thread!

I have found the behavior of some people and members on this forum pretty disgusting of late and feel there needs to be a thread to celebrate what Martin has achieved.

I found the "Have a go at Martin thread" to be an inspiring thread to see all of the nice comments completely outweighing the negative.

So I would just like to say one more massive thank you to you Martin for helping me with my finances and I'm sure many other members who remain just lurkers will agree.

I hope all this financial turmoil passes asap so we can get on doing exactly what we are all here for, saving money.

Take care Martin

    Good idea,

I have saved lots and learnt a new way of thinking after finding my way here.

Thanks to Martin and other MSEers.
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx
  • I think Martin is truly inspirational. Those who are blaming them or slagging him off are utter fools.

I joined the site almost three years ago (I think!) after I heard Martin speaking on Radio 2. I pride myself on being relatively savvy but this site has really opened my eyes!

Since joining I have saved loads of money (too much to even estimate) by changing the way I shop; I have become debt free; I have changed my credit cards to cashback ones; I have signed up to Quidco and YouGov; I have tried my hand (successfully) at matched betting; I have started to save money; I have changed my phone contract to a cheaper one; I have used the statute barred information for a friend and the claiming back bank charges for a family member; I have gotten my magazines cheaper by signing up for subscriptions instead of buying them in the shops... and those are just the things I can think of off the top of my head!

I recommend this site to everyone I know and will continue to do so. I love MSE and can't thank Martin Lewis enough for setting it up and providing an amazing service to thousands!

    Keep up the good work!

Martin Lewis and Moneysavingexpert.com are household names in most areas of the country now. I am constantly amazed at his level of activity, both broadcasting and running this site, not to mention the weekly newsletter, (which incidentally would be enough of a challenge on its own for most people).

Let's not forget he also has a private life, which includes a lovely (and presumably very understanding) fiancee, and yet whenever "the consumer" is in need or in danger, he is somehow magically there.

Bravo Martin, a true gentleman and a national hero. They broke the mould.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

You are an inspiration to us all. I feel the need to apologise on behalf of all of the people who have had a go at you over the past few days, and for your awful treatment on the C4 news.
Thankyou for all of your hard work and (over)enthusiasm in all that you do. I have never seen anyone who loves what they do more than you, and don't ever loose that.
