Icesave ISA and new ISA replacement???

I'll try to explain my enquiry as simply as possible...

Will icesave ISAs get anulled, and thus allow us to effectively open a new ISA within this tax year?

As this is exceptional circumstances, will icesave ISA savers be allowed this?

thanks.

Noone yet knows the details - suggest that you keep an eye on the FSCS website where information should be published today (Friday).
"We are working closely with all concerned on the practical arrangements to get people their money back as quickly as possible. We hope to be in a position to say more about the arrangements by the close of business on Friday, and we will publish updates on our website."

According to Martin, this will be possible. I am hoping the same. Not sure where we will get it put, as ideally I am sure we would all want Natwest! :)

Plus, if you have money in an Icesave cash ISA, it is very likely that it will retain the tax-free ISA status. The Treasury has said:
    • "Arrangements are being put in place to ensure that all ISA customers of Icesave will continue to benefit from the tax-free status of their accounts".
