I'm currently going through a nightmare of a time with our neighbour, and would've dearly liked to be able to go to a place in particular rather than relationships thread.

I may be wrong, but I often feel that "House renting and buying" is a better place than relationships for neighbour disputes.
I'm not sure how much there is to say from a moneysaving point of view, however, beyond "Try to sort it out without involving solicitors because that will cost a small fortune!"
There are sometimes local mediation services which can be useful. Google mediation plus your area to see if you have one.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Hi Savvy_Sue
I just thought that with some neighbour disputes going to court, arguments over boundaries and anti-social behaviour etc there would be room for it here was all
Mediation services cost money, so if people could post their experiences with mediation services etc and if they're value for money -- or perhaps a cheaper alternative it could help others?
Then of course if it was to go further and ended up in court those neighbours would need more advice then. It was only a suggestion because having to trawl all over the forums when starting on here can be a bit daunting. It's nice to have one place specialising in the problem you're having is all- ie. debt free wannabe. CLS Direct might be a better starting point.
I don't know if there are any 'legal' forums out there. The problems as always are that a) you don't know if the advice you are being given is reliable, b) you don't know if the person giving it is reliable and c) even if a) and b) were reliable, you may not have given adequate information and the person giving advice may not have asked you the right questions to give the right advice in the first place!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

You could try Neighbours From Hell in Britain, (NFHiB).Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Neighbours From Hell is an excellent site-has a number of useful links and factsheets-also has people who've been through the experience as well as surveyors etc0

Yep!:D www.nfhib.org.uk is a really fantastic site :T with lots of supportive members [over 20,000 currently] who have had or are suffering with bad neighbours in many different ways. It has heaps of advice and is a very friendly site with lots of info and support.I thoroughly recommend it to anyone suffering with bad neighbours - be it noise, harassment, parking, boundaries, planning, anti social behaviour etc etc. etc.0

Meant to say, I had a few years of terrible neighbour problems involving harassment, anti social behaviour, criminal damage etc.
We had to involve the police,a solicitor and a barrister and other agencies so I know what a distressing nightmare it can be.
Hope you are ok and give NFHiB a try as I would never have got through it without their advice, help & support :T0 -
To echo what's been said, i think to give this its own board is somewhat dangerous for us as a money saving site. By all means discuss the financial implications and ways to save on the relevant boards, but the potential legal problems and dispute resolution would probably rule this one out for us.
