how do i clear my typed in histroy?

Hello, how do you clean then histroy from the search box you get on google and ebay etc. I know how to clean your internet histroy but it doesnt clear the search box histroy, can any one help?? thanks ,mike

IE, tools, internet options, content, autocomplete, untick everything, and clear forms, and optionally [clear passwords - this will zap any saved passwords for websites, so be careful]

If you want to see what you have saved there first, download and run psvp from here:

Also in Tools, internet options, advanced, take out the tick next to "use inline autocomplete"

IE will annoyingly prompt you every so often asking if you want to turn it back on, there is a registry hack to fix that (formsuggest), but the details escape me at the moment
