Oyster card - plus student?

I’m taking my 18 year old student niece to London for two days (Mon 10th – Tues 11th Nov) I gave her “trip to London & any west end show of her choice” for her 18th birthday, so we are off to see Dirty dancing. (Gulp!)

It looks as if an oyster card is the best option for me? But rather confused about her - she is at college in Norwich, so what is the best thing to get her?

As it’s my treat id like to sort it before we go if possible.

Thanks guys!
Too much of a good thing can be wonderful!

Have you booked your norwich-london tickets yet? Does your niece have a railcard (16-25 railcard, formerly known as young person's railcard)?
