Can estate agents do this?????

I agree - no games. I work for an agent. We are dealing with people on a daily basis who are distraught, in tears and desperate.
Evidence - We are an excellent agent - we get great feedback from vendors and applicants. Houses are selling - it is not easy. Agents spend hours dealing with buyers and sellers trying to keep deals together.
We also spend hours trying to help people with a myriad of problems that come along with selling a house - bit of a counselling service as well - divorce, death, job changes, relocation abroad, massive debt problems etc..
Occasionally we also deal with time wasters who just want to look at peoples houses for fun - people who just don't turn up to view and don't tell us - we try to do viewings on request, late in the evening, 7 days a week ....
I think in life if you are honest with people, straightforward then hopefully this will be reciprocated. No sometimes it is not, but need to keep trying.0 -
I have talked to my EA, (although im still not sure if he is talking to the vendors at all or just paying lip service, I only wish I could talk to the vendor direct!) and told him that if the vendor wants our money, he needs to take the house off the market with the new agent, we have said we will wait until next Friday, and if the house is still up for sale on rightmove with the new agents we will be pulling out of the sale - hoping this will be enough for the vendor to take us seriously, we have also intructed the solicitors to stop all work until next Friday, so fingers crossed that he will come to his senses, and realise he has good buyers with money waiting. Thanks to you all who have given advice, its really appreciated. Will keep you posted next week, thanks guys and girls.0
