Trust Fund and Benefits

Hi all. New to all this and have just found out that I have a trust fund in my name. I can't touch it for another seven years apparently but will this affect my benefits? I work part-time and claim WTC, CTC and Council tax credit.
Any advise would be welcomed.

My initial thoughts are that as you cant access the money then it wont affect benefits,but i would seriously advise you to contact the various agencies,i.e council and tax credits depts0
