hey,
wel i have just bought a tv licence but as i am living in halls at uni and my card is registered at my home address they must send me my licence by post rather than email. but i was wondering as the money has coem out of my account does this mean that i can now legally watch my tv or must i wait til i recieve it in the post?

Is the licence registered for the halls? if so you will be ok as you have paid for it, you should have a licence number, worst case scenario someone comes knocking and you tell them its in the post come back in a few days and you will show them it."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. rachaelj will have a payment reference number not a TV Licence number. The letter of the law says you are only licensed once the BBC, or their agent, have issued you with a licence. That will clearly be some time between when the payment is taken and you receive a paper or electronic representation of it.
