GOOD NEWS INTEREST WILL BE PAID - if you're unhappy about this- GET OVER IT!

A member of another forum has spoken to the FCSC and they have said interest will be paid until Icesave folded at the Icesave rates and thereafter until money is refunded at the FCSC rate which is quoted as something between 3.5 and 4%.

That is very good news indeed.

Can't understand all the people on here who think we are greedy for asking if we were to be paid this money that our hard earned money earned. I didn't hear them complaining when Darling announced he would safeguard their deposits.

Gets better and better .. if it stops me spending my savings for a few months I think I am going to show a profit at the end of the day.

Everyone here should be voting Labour now in solidarity and as thanks to all the MSEers they have saved.

Some great news for the forum.

People just need to realise we are all depositors NOT investors. There is a subtle but huge difference.

Vote Labour? Erm, It's partly their fault we're in this financial armageddon scenario through lack of regulation!

Vote labour ???? I don't think so somehow. Although they have saved large numbers of peoples savings, we have them to thank for a record national debt which will take generations to pay off ! And thats before the bailout of the banks.

That's good news then although I would just be happy to get my money back as I originally thought it was gone for good!

Never mind the national debt .. they have saved me from having a personal debt .. I know which one is the more important to me.

Labour have done the right thing .. and paid interest on top. You cant say they havent listened to the voters now.

Got you're so right, I'm glad someone realised that they are responsible for the GLOBAL CRISIS.

Gordon Brown's role as secret President of the Whole World Evah is finally public knowledge.

I'm by no means a Labour supporter, but I think you need a little perspective.

Never a fian of the labour party especially when that Blair was in, But I have to say they have come to the rescue of all of us with Icesave accounts and I applaud them for that at least.
