Ok, yeah sorry i get completely confused by all this! I have just checked my old bills and there doesnt seem to be any tariff rate lower than 10p...and it seems that an economy 7 night rate shoudl be more like 4p/5p.

I'll ring scottish power again to query this. Last time I spoke I did ask them briefly to explain the economy 7 thing, and they said that Economy 7 is nothing to do with the Tariff rate, it is just to do with the type of heater??
I will obviously speak to them again about this.
Thanks for your advice though coz otherwise i probably would assume the rate was right!

Thanks everyone for your useful advice.
I just spoke to Scottish Power....and thanks for your suggestions that my Economy 7 rate was wrong....because you were right and I'm going to get a refund from them!
Yes I asked them If my Economy 7 rate was right because there doesnt seem to be a cheap night rate on my bill. She checked for me, and it turns out that when I switched my account to online last April, they forgot to keep my Economy 7 and they put me on a Single Rate instead.

So she said they will recalculate and refund my bill going back to April. Not sure how much I'll get but its good news anyway.
Thanks to Magentasue and espresso for helping me look in to this!
