I have two Endowment Bonds with two different GB Insurance Companies. Do these investments fall into the £50,000 Government cover of savings?

No There is no £50k Govt protection on any product. You are referring to the FSCS £50k protection on deposits. That isnt Govt protection though.
However, the deposit protection scheme doesnt cover you . The FSCS insurance protection scheme does and that has unlimited protection for upto 90% of the value.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
