If you invested £1000 in HBOS a year ago they would now be worth about £16. If you invested £1000 in Tennants lager a year ago and returned the tims to an aluminium recycling plant you would have about £250 !:beer: :rotfl:

Hmm - can't resist (sorry)

Current recycling rate is approx 40p per kilogram of cans (roughly). There are approximately 60 cans to the kg. (ref below)
Therefore if you bought £1000 cans, (£40 for case of 24 approx) that'd be about 600 cans, or 10kg of aluminium, which would be about £4.00 in recycling. Still better with HBOS!
