    Hi all,

well after a quick investigation, there are lots of conflicting ideas.
I think I am best to let the laptop only run down say 40%, and keep the charge level fairly high, and avoid letting it run right down before recharging.

:eek:But then you'll never be here!

The antenatal class was ran by the NCT, and although most of it was good, she was quite prescriptive about ideas and products. Some items she mentioned were a cot that fits on the side of the bed for the first few months (only £200 - no way!) and a tummy tub, an ear themometer, an exercise ball, a swim ring, and a baby hair brush. I might get the last 5 if I get some vouchers from work..

thermometers: ones you stick on their forehead super cheep but they (baby) can often get wriggling so can be hard to get accurate reading, they're also not very subtle - as in reading tends to be to the nearest degree. I've got an underarm/under anywhere you feel like one for home. Got it from Boots when DS was tiny and we still use it. Of that list, it's the only thing I'd really recommend you get, they are just so reassuring when they're poorly.

If you wanted an exercise ball (although I'd have thought it's a bit late in the day now really) then get the £5.99 gym ball from Argos - don't go for the cheaper one cos they're not that good apparently (I don't know this for myself, just been told they're a bit of a false economy)

Note to self: M&P grooming kit incl thermometer £5 with voucher
Ebay tummy tubs circa £10 used.
Gym balls £7 ebay new (ask friends, and check TKM first)
    Swim ring? Ask friends.

Have the morning of timetable, and feeling a bit more positive and energetic :j(not quite that energetic, but ok), so off to get some of my to do list crossed off!

Well done as ever :D When do you finish? Is it Friday?

Yep, finishing on Friday, thank goodness! I am ok at work and it keeps me mobile and away from biscuits (for the most part!) but when you get those tired days and difficult classes its horrible! Finishing will be a bit scary, cause its then only 2 weeks till due date :)

I have updated banking, and we are now on £16,xxx Not too much to find (though hard with a new baby) but still a nice feeling!!

Just to put my 2-pennorth worth's in, buy a forehead thermometer (electronic one) rather than an ear one - recently my DD had an ear infection and so sticking a thermometer near her ear wasn't good.....and also there can be a huge difference in temperature in each ear (say for example if you've got the start of an ear infection......it can be about 2 degrees hotter than the other side!!)

    HTH

There can indeed - which is why we have 'base' temperatures for us written on a sticker in the thermometer case - one for each side (which is what the instructions told me to do when I bought it:)) I tend to take the temp once in each ear after feeling foreheads.

How odd that your school don't give you laptops. Our council give them to us and everything is replaced and taken care of if we need it. We don't have any desktops at our school and the laptops are our only means of completing our work I guess. I just figured all councils did it. I will not moan about how rubbish it is again in future.

Hope you have a relaxing last few weeks of pregnancy.
