Should I wait?

I can't decide where to put my savings (£30,000) at the moment with the uncertainty over the banking system everywhere. Should I just wait till things pick up again or is there anywhere I can put my money which offers a high interest account? I have looked at all the different banks but I just don't know if I can trust anywhere at the moment.
