    You need to both heat & ventilate.

    Thats the answer, anything else is a waste of time and effort.
    There is no cheap answer,

    Thanks all ........... will start the project today.

    Having trouble finding the special paint.

    Dont seem to have it on B&Q or homebase websites !!!

    Maybe they just have it in stores ???

    We had this problem at our last house,we bought a dehumidifier for about £65 and that worked a treat for us, but my wife did also paint the walls with an anti damp paint after we had sorted it out which all good diy stores sell

    Unless you're planning never again to shower/dry clothes indoors/have the heating on/shut your windows/breathe, you need some of this:

    The house I'm in used to get badly affected by condensation, bits of mould growing round windows.
    I now keep both the bedroom and bathroom window open just a fraction all the time (opening the bathroom one fully when running either a tap or shower - and leave the doors open during the day. What was an on-running problem has not existed in many years.

    I have just bought a dehumidifier for condensation around windows first impression working well my 1 is matsui (currys).
    Look after the pennies and the pounds will spend themselves

    as an instant mould killer the best thing is milton sterilising fluid(babys bottles), kills the mould spores off that are present, then you need to find the cause
