Help fixing a SE K750i phone needed

I know it's mainly computer questions on here from what I've seen but I thought I'd ask anyway, my phone has developed white lines across the screen since I dropped it.

I thought I was going to have to get a new screen but yesterday I dropped it again (Yes, I know that was stupid!) and the screen went crystal clear good as new. Then I moved it and put it in my pocket and it's developed lines again, I'm wondering if it could be something loose in the phone that I have been knocking in and out of place. On one forum someone mentioned it being the camera connector for the phone being loose on theirs, and the ribbon lead too. But being an achived forum I can't ask them how to fix those two things. Anyone know how to do it?

I have diagrams on where everything is and how to take it apart, but how do I go about reattaching the connector and ribbon securely? Do I solder it, push it back in, glue it?

I'm a bit lost!

Thanks in advance, hope someone can advise.

as far as i can remember, the k750 doesnt have any flex cables soldered. also make sure that the cable plugs are level to the plug on the mainboard, otherwise if that doesnt work, try cleaning the connectors with a clean paintbrush and see if that has any effect.

i cant remember if they click into place as it was a long time ago that i opened up a k750
  • Thanks guys, once I find where the screwdrivers went I shall give this a go. Doesn't sound like I can completely kill it from what you've said!

Fingers crossed this works, it's very strange getting text messages and no actually being able to read them!

Brilliant, I know there's definitely a T6 floating around the house somewhere! Thanks for the link, the photo's make it seem fairly straightforward, unlike the electrical guide from SE!
