Further details about the Veterans Concessionary Travel Scheme in London were issued yesterday including how to apply and the validity.

The new Veterans Concessionary Travel Scheme in London comes into operation on 2nd November 2008. This is available for any disabled Veterans who receive either an ongoing War Pension or ongoing GIP under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme whether they live in London or elsewhere. The disability does not have to be mobility related.

It gives free travel at any time on Buses, Tube, Docklands Light Railway and London Overground Trains in Greater London at any time and certain National Rail trains after 0930am Mon to Fri. It also gives a discount on river services
