Annual running cost?

Has anyone actually ever worked this out?
I was curious as to how much per annum I was spending on my car.
I did the figures with and without fuel
£28 per week without fuel
£38 per week with fuel
This includes Mot, Services, Road Tax, Insurance, Maint, Depreciation
I was wondering does this seem average or high or low?

i tried to work this out -
My car gets cheaper the more i use it when you take into account the cost of the mot (not including repairs), tax insurance etc
Of course the more you use it the greater amounts of wear and tear etc
Strangley i save 28 a week into a seperate account for my car, this covers everything apart from fuel.
At the end of the year i often have a load left in this account if its been a good year motoring cost wise, so i put it towards a new car or something else
If you own a car like mine (2000 406 diesel) i dont bother calculating depriciation costs as its such a cheap car to buy its not worth worrying about, the difference between a nice example and a one with 280k on the clock is not that great0 -
Thats strange. The car Im on about is a 2000 306 Diesel
At the moment that £28 is what this car has cost this last year0 -
but in a typical 12 month period what are you combined MOT, service, insurance, tyre, tax, bulbs etc etc costs
I do mega miles so my costs will be higher!0 -

My figures are for 12months. Bear in mind to that mine is only 3.5k mileage per year0 -
Well mine is about £14 a week without petrol, and £30 a week with petrol, and I drive a Ford KA.
Maintenance is pretty cheap, road tax is low, and I have 5 years NCB for insurance, hence the £14 a week ownership cost!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
