Grab the great KE fixed rates whilst you can.

Someone has mentioned this before but I thought I would just raise it again in a new thread. Now that Kaupthing Edge has been acquired by ING Direct and the savings are safe*, shouldn’t we all be grabbing the amazing fixed rate deals whilst we can before they disappear? I'm still pleased I bought my bond last month as it is a great deal. They won’t stay around for long, following the recent base rate cut and with ING openly saying their policy to interest rates is to strike “the right balance between providing great customer service and value whilst maintaining a strong and sustainable business”!

* There is a lot of xenophobia about the Dutch compensation scheme. The limit is higher (£77k vs. £50k) and as far as I can see the Dutch government is in a much stronger position than the over-stretched British government to honour the commitment, so I am happy.
