Does anyone know why you do not get the gift if you subscribe?? Seems a bit unfair, just a ploy to get extra sales with no thanks for loyal customers.

I subscribe to two magazines - SFX and Radio Times - and thankfully both send the free gifts when they have one. And I got gifts for signing up, too - a really good messenger bag in the case of the latter.

When I phoned up Zest magazine a couple of years ago to ask about this problem, I was told that I would only receive paper freebies - books, pamphlets etc. i was told this was to do with cheaper (poss vat free?) postage for paper goods through Royal Mail.
Was not happy but as I get my subs free through Tesco points I just buy the mag in a shop if there is a freebie that I want - it would be nice if they let us know what we are missing though :-(

I've just received a letter saying that Eve will cease after the November issue and my sub will change to Grazia instead!

I only subscribed last month! :eek: And no, I didn't get the mascara either :rolleyes:.

Just a thought on this deal....

The mascara being given away on the front of the mag - No 7 Lash 360 - currently comes with a free 'smoky eyes pallet' (eye shadow) if you buy in Boots. I haven't bought one yet but I intend to as it looks lovely, you get three shades in the pallet, and No 7 are great quality.

Now - if you spend £5 or more in Boots you get a £5 off No 7 cosmetics voucher so that means if you buy the mascara and get the free pallet it will be £6.50 (RRP £11.50 - £5 voucher). So if you're not bothered with the mag but you like your No 7 make-up, it will only cost you an extra £3.10 than you'd spend on the mag to get an additional three No 7 eye shadows (as there's three shades in the pallet).

Hope that makes sense - I tend to waffle a bit sorry!

Hi Squee - Yes it mde sense and I love a waffle .
Anyways, I saw this yesterday in Boots but had nothing to buy to get the voucher but my mate has just rang and said how gorgeous the eyeshadow is on her eyes so now Im off to buy some vitamins and nappies - will use vouchers and buy half price vits and then get my no7 voucher and buy mascara and get eyeshadow free........................ did i mention I like a waffle
