can i do anything re heritable savings

i have quite a large amount in heritable one year fixed til may 09, is there anything i can do just now, i..e could i try and withdraw or just sit tight - i know it has been taken over by ING.

any advice appreciated

Until the situation as far as ING's takeover is clarified, noone can advise you - it remains to be seen whether they will retain fixed-rate accounts on the original terms & conditions or transfer the funds into a product of their own. Basically, who knows at this stage?

ING would hardly have been permitted to take over Kaupthing & Heritable's accounts if they weren't thought to be a 'safe pair of hands', would they?
