I've been working for AQA since the summer and I put 'can't answer' for one of my test questions. I spent about 10 minutes researching but couldn't come up with anything. I thought that would mean I'd fail but it didn't.

Did you answer any questions on your test with yourself as a source? Are there certain types of websites you can and cannot use as sources?
  • I've received my application form and just wondering about the 2 referees. I have only ever had 2 jobs, the 1st for 30 years for a company who has since gone bust, but I know the phone number of my old boss to use as a referee so no problem.

My 2nd job was my own business with my partner whom I live with, so do I put their name ? would have thought that with the same phone number they would think that as being a bit biased ?

There are no more UK vacancies! I was getting excited about this! Never mind.
  • Well I found that stressful, not the actual questions, but making the answers fit into the allowed character allocation.

Sort of - on one question I think I put 'Myself & xxx', after I'd researched the question just to make sure I was right.

I had a similar problem in that my husband is senior in the company I used to work for, so I put his details down as a point of contact but made it clear it was my husband. It was never queried.

I know what you mean, but If you are successful with your application, once you start working on the AQA system there is an automatic character count that won't allow you to go beyond the 153 characters. You have to go back and edit your answer to fit everything in. This is much easier than trying to keep an eye on it yourself.
