is there anybody who can let me know if this in car dvd player can be multi region in any way.

If i remember correctly, you need a special remote to make most Sonys multi region.

Isn't the DVX100 an in-car player?

if so, the chances of it being hackable are virtually nil.

So is there any chance of transferring the dvds into uk format

I'd imagine it should be possible, using a combination of AnyDVD and DVDShrink. Presumably you've got a PC with a DVD burner?

I'd have to mess about with a disc to work out exactly how to do it, unless there's someone else around here who knows already...
