    You need either cork tiles or polystyrene, but not both. Polystyrene comes on rolls like wallpaper and is probably about 4mm thick. You cut it to size then paste it just like wallpaper. You have to be careful not to break it as it's a bit brittle.

    Let us know what you decide and if it cures your problem.

    Will do Steve, the wall is about 6ft x 6ft, I think I may go for the polystyrne it will be easier to fit.

  • If the area is that big thermal plasterboard might be easier. It is plaster board with insulation already bonded on. It will come in sheets 6 x 4 and again you can stick to the wall. If it is in wardrobe then no need to think about plastering over it over, just paint.
