I've got an email with four downloads but when I click on two of them a message comes up saying that windows cannot open this file. It then asks if I want it to find a programme to open it so I've clicked yes. The next thing says that the document is a spreadsheet and software information is available at Microsoft Excel. I went to the Microsoft Excel but I've no idea what I'm supposed to do there.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Sounds like you may need to download the microsoft excel viewer, if you don't have excel installed. The viewer is available here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c8378bf4-996c-4569-b547-75edbd03aaf0&displaylang=EN.My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0

Thanks Airwolf,
This is probably a stupid question but when I've downloaded it, will anything else in Excel that I need to see then come up automatically?0 -
I'd just install it and click on the files and se what happens.0

I've just tried installing it and a message has come up saying it needs to be approved by the administrator (?) before it can be installed.0

Do you not have administrator privileges on your computer. You can check by going to Control Panel -> User Accounts or something like that.0
