    Hi there,

My aunty is going through a very similar situation (probs worse tbh as Tuesday she had to get him arrested!) where he has got in the wrong crowd and just drinks and smokes wacky backy all day. He has a job waited for him within my dad and uncles business but he never turns up!

As he is at college, can he claim EMA? I know when I was at college you could claim a maximum of £30 p/week - which depends on the parents income. I didnt qualify for any EMA but most of my mates did and found it quite a help.

And references.. He could always put his Head Master, or a Form Teacher? Thats what I used to do before I didnt have any previous bosses to put down.

I really feel for you it must be very worrying. I think you are going to have to be tough with him now, certainly don't be helping him out with money unless you can be sure it is going on essentials for college.

How is his behaviour at home? How has he reacted to all this - has it been a good lesson or is he being rebellious about it?

I think I would be confiscating everything he has and grounding him until I could be sure I could trust him again.

    What will he do next?
