Guaranteed Equity Bond - Timing

Hi

Would it be a good time to invest in a Guaranteed Equity Bond as the FTSE is so low at the moment and in 2 years 'should' be higher?

Total Saving Novice just looking for best rates and was wondering if these GEB's are worth using?

Why not just invest in the shares themselves, or in a fund which buys up a selection of the shares? That way you get all the growth, all the dividends and can choose to exit in your own time.

Of course, if you're going into GEBs because you're totally risk averse, then at least find one of the good ones rather than the awful retail ones on offer.
