I'm registered for the travelzoo top 20 offers every week and this one sent today is a great price (in my opinion). The hotel is one of the best in Scotland so just thought i'd share it with you all (soz if someone else posted too);
Loch Lomond
Travel dates: 12 Oct-31 Jan, 2009

The 5-star De Vere Cameron House Hotel & Spa, on the banks of Loch Lomond, has released a fantastic 2-night B&B package for just £198 per room (including VAT). We'd expect to pay this for one night alone at this luxury property! As part of the offer, you’ll receive a full Scottish breakfast on both days, one bottle of champagne (£49 value) and one thermal experience spa session per person (per stay, worth £65pp). The hotel is also throwing in a book of discount shopping vouchers.
The deal is available for Sunday-Friday stays between 12 October and 31 January, 2009, but you must
book by 22 October. There is a £60 surcharge if a Saturday night is included in your 2-night stay.
Blackout dates: 24-26 December; 30 December-1 January, 2009.
How to book: Call reservations on 0845 347 0102, quoting ZOO.
Travelzoo tip: The hotel is also offering 50% discounts on room upgrades, reduced rates on its Carrick golf course (£25pp for 18 holes) and discounted cruises on Loch Lomond (£25pp).
About the hotel: Once an 18th-century baronial mansion, this luxury hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond boasts two golf courses, including The Carrick, a Championship course. There are also numerous restaurants, leisure facilities, a gym and tennis courts.
Enjoy!!!

my oh has just booked us a weekend away here as a special treat ,( i had been pinning my hopes on the lhtw offer , but have now given up )
Have been wanting to try it for so long - but would never pay the "normal" price
when she phoned up to book , the lady hadn't picked up on the "travelzoo" bit and tried to charge my wife £996 !! for 2 nights ......... but they were offering dinner and a free spa treatment included"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
happy travels !!

God, so tempted by this, i absolutely love De Vere Deluxe, but it's just sooooooo far from Manchester!
Would have jumped at the chance had it been less than 3 hrs drive away, in a heartbeat *sigh* Still wanna go though, so may just go for it!
Thanks OP, definately a great spot @ that package price

Would take us about 5 hrs drive so it's a big one to weigh up for just 2 nights. Hohum

The (deluxe) De Vere Carden Park in Chester, Cheshire is stunning. V highly recommended.
There is also 2 in Crewe: Wychwood park and St David's. About 40 mins from Manchestr airport approx. Check out their websites and then click on 'offers'
