Icesave archive of website text (Download)

Just in case anyone out there wants a copy, I have created an archive of the text from the Icesave website, it includes all the addresses, contacts, terms etc., from the pages currently accessibly plus I had a copy of the 'Message from Mark Sismey-Durrant' that was there prior to Tuesday, saying how safe all our savings were!

They are PDF format in a zip archive. Not sure how much use they are, but better having them, just in case the icesave website does a complete disappearing act!

Plus, I'll just restate the advice from others on here already, and that's to log in and take a copy of your own statement right now.

  • Martin Lewis posted a nice blog on icesave. He suggested that the falling of this banc wha unlikely but now it is reality. My girlfriend has up to 20k in saving account and probably has lost evrything. The dutch governemnt will not, !!! Brown does, pay under 20k savings, but people ho have over 20k will get all that back. How unfare for this?
If you have a million you will get back 980000 but if you have 19k you will get nothing. So your life time pension savings are a paenut for bigger savers probably but for us it is hard sorrow.
Norway has stated that it is willing to take Iceland into the Norwegia borders so maybe we get some luck with this as Norway is very rich.
Good luck to all people ho lost in this bank.

Gordon Brown and Alastair Darling have covered all UK Savers for the full amount, if Iceland dont pay the first £16,700 the UK Government will. Theres no need to worry your money is now safe.

ah - but what about the savers in the Netherlands, who presumably put their money into icesave.nl? I guess adebontjr is one of those. Wonder what the Dutch authorities are saying and doing...

  • Don't the dutch offer a £70,000 compensation scheme. Maybe Iceland will have enough to pay the first £16,700 to them since they wont be paying out UK Savers.

Just in case anyone missed my post last night, and would like a copy of the website text, I'll bump this post to the top (just this time).
  • Thanks very much for these. I tried to access them today but couldn't.
