Bluetooth mouse

I have a new laptop and I already have a rechargeable logitech mouse and keyboard.
I have just tried connecting the mouse and it works great but obviously it has a long lead connecting the mouse via USB to the mouse.
What are my options for being wireless?
I have heard of bluetooth, would I need a bluetooth mouse and a bluetooth dongle (as laptop not bluetooth enabled)?
If I am on the right lines how does this work and would I also be able to connect my phone to laptop using the same dongle.
Many thanks

Have you tried a standard wireless mouse ?, a lot easier to come across than bluetooth (and cheaper).
From £5.99 here (you may get slightly cheaper if you look around)

The Logitech MX900 is a good bluetooth mouse.
You'll find bluetooth mice run down batteries very quickly.
I'd recommend the Logitech MX1000. Very ergonomic, batteries last for days without a charge, and is laser based instead of optical (more accurate, works better on shiny surfaces).
It does require it's dock to work though. A bluetooth mouse such as the MX900 may be more desirable if you're on the move a lot."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Read this before getting the mx900. Not saying it's worthless...but it was far more problematical than it should have been. The only advantage of this system is getting the bluetooth working...if you can't do that then the unit is no different to an optical mouse.
It's a great mouse and the hub recharges the batteries.....BUT the hub isn't tiny...so it's not very portable.
You can always use the mouse with a standard USB bluetooth receiver...but the point of buying Logitech is that their software and hub opens up more options than standard Windows bluetooth support.0
