I class anything pale as lights/whites.
This includes washed light denim jeans, pale pink polo shirts, pale blue stuff.
Usually, as long as it has been washed before and is being washed on a 30 or 40 wash, it should be fine.
Customers at my shop throw everything in together, blacks and whites and they seem ok

Hi,
The quick guide I wrote on the subject is HERE and it should answer most, but not all, questions on the subject.
Low temperature washes I don't recommend, anything below 40˚C is far less effective.
For whites, especially bedding, nappies and towelling I wouldn't recommend a wash under 60˚C to get it cleaned effectively and in the case of bedding mites are killed at this temperature and above. Whites is classed as anything white or near to white.
The two big dangers in mixing colours with white is dye transfer and also that if you use the correct detergent for whites, you'll bleach the colour out the colours over time. A lot of people don't believe it as you don't see this instantly in a lot of cases, it takes 10 or more washes before stuff just looks washed out or tired.
But, doing it right can save you money as you don't end up throwing clothes away early as they last longer. It's also better for the washer as well.
