Google for Little Acorns for the little one. My sister-in-law recently registered with them for her baby. I don't know much else apart from that, though.

Whatever you do DO NOT USE MODELS DIRECT, they are a bunch of cons. I signed my daughter to a 3 year contract which cost me 160 quid when she was newborn and NEVER heard a thing from them. I assumed they would be ligit as they were advertised on the back of the bounty magazine you get in your hospital pack.

Never use someone you haveto pay an upfront fee for, they shouldnt need one.

Yes someone else recommended them but they charge £120 for the interview and no guarantee of work - How about the best one for extra work around London Essex? thanking you in advance.

If anyone is in the Northwest don't go for Eurokids as they are a waste of time as well. They ask you to go to Manchester with a days notice, a week before last Christmas, went and heard nothing  .

Both my daughters were/are registered with Little Acorns for 2 years and nothing. We paid around £160, although my 2nd daughter got a contract free as a sibling.

The only good thing is they update their pictures as and when needed, free of charge, so I just use them for new pictures! They need updating, here is my now 3 year old http://www.littleacorns.co.uk/photos-4/low-res/Tianna-TG3003.jpg So i'll contact them and get a ton of new pictures... Oh well, better than a slap in the face.

I agree that if they're legit, you shouldn't have to pay up front. I've given up.

charlene your little girl is very cute and it is a shame they all charge so much i too would have put my girls in for modelling but i have not found any that dont charge the earth! however, my husband used to do a lot of tv work for nemesis in manchester (yes the same place that founded take that!!!) and they do children also but they are based in leeds that is why we never registered our girls there but they are very nice there and you do get lots of work if you want it if they havent got another on there books looking like you and they want to take you on! we have been given lots of options for our girls but all at a price the one we were going to use was manchester model ageny because a friend recomended it but again you had to pay registration fee and that put me off when we are talking children!!! hope this helps you or somebody in leeds!!! :xmastree:

I agree that you shouldn't pay anything upfront, remember that they make money out of every job so if they know your going to get jobs they know they'll get money that way.

I took my 11 year old son last year to a 'spotting day' or whatever, the agent said the usual 'if you'll just pay £100 for his photos and another £20 for the poster and another....' etc, I refused and she paid the photographer and gave me the photos saying that she knew he would get work and wants him on her books.
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D
