Fixed Rate Savings

I have a 6 month Fixed Rate Savings with HBOS. They state that the account can not be closed within the first 6 months. Is this technically true.

Whatever is in their terms is what you get of course. However if it is the Halifax Fixed Rate Websaver then their web site says:
"No withdrawals allowed. Early closure permited after 3 months (with loss of interest)"0
