save your licence get a drivesmart
i got one of these after i had been done for speeding, it is the best thing i have ever got, i priced up the cost of the others on the market, such as the snooper and the road angel, but you have to pay a subscription to get the updates, which i think is out of order, but with the drivesmart there are no other payments apart from the inital purchase, it cost £195, inc postage, it spots all the speed cameras, mobile gatsos, specs cameras, laser guns, unmarked cars, mobile vans, amongst other things, it also has a speedo to let you know how fast your going, and it tells you when your going too fast, so it saves your licence for you. Also you get all the updates by going to the site and clicking on the support tool, it then gives you the new updates for the cameras, the manual, and the sound wavs, it can also be used anywhere in europe, so its well worth the money.

Cheaper just to get your speedo fixed
Can I help?0 -
it may be cheaper to get my speedo fixed but as i was only doing 41 in a 40 zone and it was an unmarked car, i think it was totally out of order that i got done for speeding, as they are supposed to allow 2% incase of a faulty speedo, but that isn't the case. :snow_laug :xmastree:0

Thats bad Sam no wonder you are mad. I'm sure most of us have similar tales of the unfairness of this 'tax' on us all. Its making us criminals and suspects.
£195 is a lot to pay. How much warning does it give for mobile traps - do you really get enough time to react? Does it give many false alarms?qui tacet consentire -

it sounds a lot to pay,but you will be suprised at how many unmarked cars, red light cameras, and saftey vans are about, but it gives you 800 meters warning, but you can set it up so you have enough time, but i use the 800 meters and its plenty of notice, i haven't had any false readings, as the database is constantly updated, and has i have said already, yes its a lot to pay but, when you think that the snooper and road angel are anything from £199 - £350+ and you have to pay a subscripiton fee to get the updates, of £6 per month, when you add up the total your paying for that, then the drive-smart works out very reasonably priced.
