If they refuse to guarantee the passport payment and pay can our government seize their assets to sell and repay UK IceSave savers?

Amsterdam - An Icelandic bank faces the confiscation of its Dutch assets if it cannot guarantee customers access to their accounts. The bank, Icesave, is a subsidiary of Landsbanki, Iceland's second largest bank.

In a shock move, the Treasury revealed it had frozen the UK assets of Iceland's Landsbanki to protect Icesave depositors. A source said: “This is a signal that when the chips are down, the Chancellor will act to protect savers.”
