Iphone update 2.02

I got an iphone yesterday and when I got it home and connected to the laptop and itunes it asked me if I wanted to update to this firmware. I accepted this but after 5 mins it said it was unable to complete the update and bricked the phone. I took it back to o2 and they de-bricked it. I then took it back home and tried to update the phone and the same thing happened. Bricked again! Has anyone had this problem before? If so, do we know what might be causing it?

ok... there are different ways to do this... one way is to manually dowload the ipsw file, and when your phone is bricked, you can force it to what is known as DFU mode.... then, when plugged into itunes, it will demand to have new firmware on it, and you hold down the shift key or something, and then select the file that you've downloaded..

do you think you could do that, if so, i can give you more info, if not.. i'd suggest a trip to an apple store, and the genius bar, as they will probably upgrade it for you..
