My son and my next door neighbour have both called BG under their maintenance contracts recently, and have nothing but praise for their prompt attendance, and rapid solution of the problems.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Had our boiler serviced recently. We asked around to see if anyone knew a good local bloke. Turned out we found a one man band, with no overheads, very nice guy, happy to poke his nose round without callout charges running up....and a very cheap service too.

I'd suggest talking to friends in your neighbourhood to see what they do.

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.
  • Used to have a fantastic who serviced our combi boiler each year and fixed anything that went wrong .. then he retired!!

Took out a Homecare agreement two years ago to cover central hearing, plumbing and electrics and have pleasantly surprised with the service level .. until today when the renewal arrived with a 20% hike on the premium.

Interestingly, if I go through the BG website as a new customer it comes out cheaper!

Shopping round now, but sadly it still looks good value at £204 inc annual boiler service and £50 flat fee to fix anything.
