Timeshare Resale Centre

We have a timeshare that we would like to sell. Naturally, we are bombarded by dodgy resale companies. Most want money up front in some way or other. I've become very cynical.

We've now been approached by Timeshare Resale Company (TRC) who don't seem to have even a website, but the deal they are offering - go to meet buyers in Maidenhead, do the deal in UK with UK solicitors, no fee to the vendor, all seems OK. Maybe 'too good to be true'.

Does anyone know about them, or know where I could find out?

Thanks

  • Hi,
I have also been approached by this company after turning down an approach from Etoo. If you have had any response it would be much appreciated if you could pass it on.

Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket are a reputable resale company.
    http://www.timeshare-hypermarket.com/selling-through-us.aspx

Costs you nothing to sell. They make their money off buyers closing costs
You will get full market value when they sell yours, no retainers.

Only problem, some people have unrealistic ideas of what "market value" really is.
These people end up paying upfront fees to Etoo, or some holiday club for an imaginary inflated price they are never going to see.
btw ,to be fair to CLC, they only offered me "fair market value" for mine in exch for their points membership.
As I said to the salesman, I bought my timeshare resale for a fraction of its new cost, so why would I buy direct off CLC, when I can buy a 20(new price) platinum membership for 3or 4K resale ! from ebay or http://clcmembers.co.uk/forum/ (5GBP joining fee, but well worth it B4 buying into CLC)

In the end, I didnt buy into CLC. After much research, I really dont think its that great value, even buying at 20%

  • Timeshare Resale Centre have an office right next door to the Club Class Concierge and Premiere Travel offices in Fuengirola, Spain. They even have their name above the office. They are all part of the same fraudulent scam operation ad group of companies. Avoid at all costs or you will be conned out of your money.

I would love to see your update but where is it?
  • Have just seen this interesting post on the holiday watchdog site:

The Sales Manager of Club Class Concierge in Fuengirola, Spain is Stephen John Lawrence, previously the director of UK based scam timeshare resale companies Yacht Trading UK Limited and T One UK Limited, which you can read about on :

  • Selling timeshare, our story.

We bought our timeshare back in 1980's in Lanzarote and it was cheap new from the resort. Years back it was brilliant but just found it old hat when everyone started to get onto the internet and people started renting cheaper than we were paying timeshare management fees. Who could blame them.

Our timeshare resort had big signs up in reception almost giving the weeks away, so much for the investment! That was our wake up call to why we weren't selling the timeshare.

Some timeshare resales companies show their timeshare listings online, you can find the same timeshare offered at £100 on one resale site and £8,000 on another, depending on the fairy tale they have spun the seller.

After 5 years of nil interest, other than enthusiastic, upbeat salespeople, it dawned on us we were living in cloud cuckoo land.

Eventually went to Rethink Your Timeshare at http://www.timesharewalkaway.co.uk . You have to do most of it yourself, the transfer with the resort and the correspondence, but Rethink are helpful, but you don't get any money, just shot of it, which suited us. At least being in control of it yourself means you know there is a close to the saga.

That only helps if you want to walkaway from your timeshare, but if you think yours has a value, don't give up, take your next holiday at your own resort. Someone there on holiday will give you the most you are likely to get from anyone. If you don't help yourself, no one else will either. That's obvious help, it didn't work for us only because our own resort was literally handing them out for a pittance!

There is other help advice online from trading standards, OFT, your local councils and the Timeshare Consumers Association who list all the government links and trustee numbers, etc. at http://www.timeshare.org.uk

If nothing else happens when you go back to your resort at least it's a holiday!
