Novica.com is awesome! My friend bought a massive double bass for her boyf's birthday, and I keep eyeing up some ornaments I intend to buy as soon as I can afford it. Not sure if you would get them before xmas now though!

The Natural Collection [I'm sure they'll have a website but don't have the details off hand] They do mail order and I've always found their service very good. Also have used WWF in previous years.

You can give something like a goat, or an acre of land in Belize or India (in the name of your friend) from places like the World Land Trust if you want the gift to be green and helping others.
Also seeds, to grow herbs, veg, even flowers. A strawberry pot with runners is nice. A potted lemon or lime tree even.0 -
Last year we received fridge magnets. Sil made a donation to oxfam or similar, and she gave us a fridge magnet that said what the money was usewd for.
Apparently our gift planted 16mango saplings. The childrens' gifts provided school books and clean drinking water.
I thought it was a great idea. We didn't need anything and it did show that they were thinking of us. My mil was well pleased to know that she had gifted a 2 goats to a family.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0 -

Hi
This website is a good resource for tracking down eco freindly companies and presents. They also have a special offers section which includes discounts on featured websites:

Charity shops/ebay. Especially charity shops. It's always worth putting your head through the door when you're passing-their stock is recycled and all your money goes to a good cause. What's not to like?import this0
