  • hello all

not been about recently as have been feeling a bit down and then had a horrid cold so that made me more grumpy :o

BUT oh looked after me and now i feel much better (not quite sparkly but cheerful!)

so i haven't been very dfw for a couple of weeks but now am back on track!

oh got boiler fixed for free by his mate and he got me a dishwasher too:T :T

so today i have / will:
    - oh gone to work with reduced price salad
    - put dishwasher on (using half tablet)
    - doing washing and drying on rads
    - cats are now having tinned food - no choice now as no money!
    - i got a great loo roll holder from ikea with a spring thingy and tearing off bit which will hopefully stop everyone from using loads - so will try and find drill and put up
    - i am going to have my first ever attempt at pastry  and make a quiche for dinner
    - i sold my car reg plate for £200 :T so will chase up to check they got docs
    - i think i finally sorted out nasty insurance man so will check around mates to see if anyone wants to buy an x-box (i had to replace lodgers with my own money and ins just send replacement goods  )
    - will start on x-mas lists and see what i have in my 'secret' pressie stash!
    - don't really want to do it but will see if i can get motivated enough to sort out my next lot of avon books

hope everyone has been well and is having a good week so far :D

    loki x
it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:

    Hello everyone!

This positive vibe is definately infectious!

I wish I was on a NSD today but I have my factors bill to pay... not looking forward to that one. Other than that though I won't be spending any money (fingers crossed)

    what else...

    store cupboard dinner
    left overs lunch
    more washing overnight
at Samaritans training tonight (not using electricity at home)
    sparkle!
start planning Christmas (looking in the flat for store-cupboard/cheap presents)

I think that'll be me today, busy bunny at work and training.

    I still want a pet!

    What are MSE style pets?

  • KTjazz - i rehomed my cat - the old boy! from cats protection league. he came will all of his jabs and stuff done and they cover any vets bills due to old age (you have to check before treatment). they call the older cats 'golden oldies'.

he is the most friendly loveable chap in the world and he is also my 'hot water bottle'!

so i pay for his flea treatment, booster jabs and things like that but for the amount i spend on food and cat litter having him around compensates for all of that :D

    - playing freezer tombola for tea whatever comes out is what we're having :p
    - posted my PPI claims for C1 and Egg

I think thats it so far

I'd love another cat but I live on the 4th floor now.

I miss my cat. I think I'll take a trip to mum and dads to visit him tomorrow. (and perhaps score a free feed too!)

    Afternoon!

My DFW day looks like this...

    1. Earned £15 for 45 minutes at work today (An occassional little bonus which is available every other week or so).
    2. Going to sign my new loan agreement, taking £312 off my debt. (I was supposed to do this yesterday but was delayed).
    3. Charging my laptop in work.
    4. Having a storecupboard lunch and dinner.
    5. Having a NSD.
    Debt at LBM - £7992.46
    Current Debt - £6218.56

So far - 22.2% of debt paid off!
  • So far today, I've brought in an Ebay parcel I need to post today to a chap in South Korea!
    I've written to Pigsback and Petplan about the refusal to give me the 2,500 piggy points from taking out Petplan insurance in June;
I've cancelled the Petplan insurance direct debit - I don't feel I can trust them in the event my wee moggy needs a new hip or something!
    I've written to the mortgage broker who 'sold' me a 4 yr life insurance policy when I remortgaged despite the fact that I didn't need it - yes, I'm complaining about that too;
Looked on Kelkoo for a cheap wii bundle for my own Xmas - the 2,500 piggypoint I should have got would at least have knocked £20 off the deal I saw in HMV.

So, in a very productive mood as far as complaints go - not that it's made a difference to my bank account today but I'm not willing to be pushed around as far as money goes.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
