Well done for home schooling! Wow Have you found the crayola site? has lots of ideas for the children on there and lesson plans I think
https://www.crayola.com I get lots of ideas for the children at work from this site
Hmm they are a bit old for that now (both teens)
but I hear it is a good site.
WOW! Did you make cheese with your own milk? That's amazing!
LOL no I meant the milk was home made.My hub would have had a fit if I had suggested that!!
I did use to pump it off and keep it in the fridge so he could help with the feeding though.
I wish I had kept homeschooling my two, but when they turned 6 years old it became too much for me - very lonely and unsupported, lots of conflict from family and husband etc, and so I gave in and I put them in school *SIGH*.
yes it can be lonely in the early years,we used to go to the library ,visit with our elderly neighbour and generally keep busy. Its hard if family arent approving though.
Thanks for the ginger beer link
My son has just started a batch ;D0 -
I actually thought of being a life coach or else a professional 'personal concierge service' - you know, basically getting other peoples' lives organised!
Ssaver, there is a flexible learning life coaching course run by Newcastle College - I applied ages ago and it used to be free, but I could not go ahead because I am too busy with work and training as a breastfeeding counsellor.
But you could try and see if it is still free. The details are:
Distance Learning :
Certificate in Life Coaching
Diploma in Life Coaching
Positive Impact Coaching
Fit 2 Run
For information on the above courses all : 01670 700833
Good luck

How do you make crackers?
Do you mean biscuits or the kind made of cardboard with a joke in them?
This is beginning to sound like my cooking.
Culpepper do not let the in laws get you down - as long as you and your family are happy then that is all that really matters and you know perfectly well taht if you were out at work they would mutter darkly about the chidren and husband etc "being neglected".
It really is a case of dammed if you do and dammed if you don't so you may as well please yourself."This site is addictive!"

Theres a shop near us called warehouse clearance - I suppose there are similar shops all over and they sell an xmas cracker kit - 6 cracker 'bodies' with snaps, hats, jokes you just put your own gift in - the kit is £1.25, which I didn't think was too bad as they look quite expensive when made up.0
